Certificate of Compliance

Lambda Research Optics certifies that the materials listed on this page meets the Restrictions on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) as defined in the Directive 2002/95/EC and the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) as defined in 2002/96/EC by July 1st, 2006.
Restricted substances and maximum concentration values tolerated by weight in homogeneous materials.
Lead (Pb) < 0.1%
eg. Used in solder, pre tinned wires, plastic parts (stabilizers), batteries, etc.
Cadmium (Cd) < 0.01%
eg. Used as stabilizers in plastics, pigmentation of paint/ink, printed circuit boards, SMD-Chip-Resistors, Infrared detectors, semiconductors, connectors, insulating materials, batteries etc.
Mercury (Hg) < 0.1%
eg. Used in thermostats, sensors, relays, switches, batteries, packaging materials, ink, etc.
Chrome VI (CrVI) Hexavalent chromium < 0.1%
eg. Used in yellow passivation of screws and other mechanical parts, etc.
Polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) < 0.1%
Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) < 0.1%
Both are used as flame retardants, eg. Insulation materials, printed circuit boards, plastic materials for connectors, housings, etc.
