The reflectance of aluminum coatings falls off at shorter wavelengths but this may be enhanced by the application of a multi-layer dielectric thin film stack. These enhanced Aluminum mirrors provide a high reflectance over the whole of the visible spectrum and can be used as efficient broadband reflectors.
